The economic, environmental, political, social, and cultural impact of the lockdown has affected around 57 million people under quarantine. The effectiveness of the ECQ is noted by a study done by the COVID-19 pandemic Response Team of the University of the Philippines. However, many ECQ violators have been documented throughout its implementation. Thus, authorities have imposed stricter measures to further combat people disobeying ECQ rules.
